  1. Start with the title and region
  2. Check the platform directly
  3. Separate release news from live availability
  4. What a trustworthy guide should show

Start with the title and region

Streaming rights are often different from one country to another. Begin with the exact title, then confirm the country or region selected on the official platform. A result that is accurate in one market may be unavailable in another.

Check the platform directly

Search the official service using the title's full name and, where relevant, its release year. Confirm that the result is an official title page rather than a search snippet, fan listing, or third-party upload. The platform page should make the viewing action and subscription, rental, or purchase requirement clear.

Separate release news from live availability

An announced OTT release is not the same as a title being available to play. Look for a confirmed release date, a platform listing, and a region-specific watch action. If one of those is missing, label the status as announced or unconfirmed instead of available.

What a trustworthy guide should show

A useful viewing guide records the platform, region, verification date, format, and official destination. It should also disclose uncertainty when rights are changing. That simple context is more valuable than a long list of services that has not been checked recently.
